The Gulf Porsche 917s of Pedro Rodriguez and Jo Siffert enter the daunting Eau Rouge corner, neither willing to surrender the lead on the opening lap of the 1000km race. Siffert and co-driver Brian Redmen went on to win in their car No. 24. Rodriguez failed to finish Spa 1000km 1970.
